Juneau Marathon and Half Marathon

The 2024 Juneau Marathon and Half Marathon will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Douglas, AK. The marathon kicks off at 7 am, followed by the half marathon at 9 am. For marathon walkers exclusively, there’s an early start available at 6 am, with a $10 surcharge. While participants opting for the early start won’t be eligible for age group awards, they will receive a finisher’s medal.
Both events occur on rolling, USATF-certified courses along Douglas and North Douglas Highways on Douglas Island, across the Gastineau Channel from Juneau, Alaska. The marathon route boasts scenic water views and a breathtaking panorama of Mendenhall Glacier, making it one of the most unique race experiences in the USA.
A pre-race day, in-person registration and packet pickup event is set for Friday, July 26, at Nugget Alaskan Outfitters (NAO) from 4 pm to 6 pm.
