Red Shoe Run: Rockin’ 5k

The 2024 Red Shoe Run: Rockin’ 5k will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. CDT. This annual event serves as a celebration of family, fundraising, and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA). Now in its 20th year, the Red Shoe Run continuously expands its reach to support families staying at RMHCA.
Participants can engage in various ways, with options including an in-person 5K run or walk, a 1-mile fun run, and a Red Shoe ‘Snoozer’ choice for those who prefer to sleep in on race day while still contributing to the cause. The day is set to be filled with fellowship, culminating in an awards ceremony and an energetic block party.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the “Rockin’ 5K” encourages participants to dress in ‘on-theme’ costumes. All funds raised during the Red Shoe Run remain at the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham, providing crucial support to keep families together during challenging times.
Packet Pickup:
The Red Shoe Run: Rockin’ 5k packet picket will take place on Thursday, 4/11, and Friday, 4/12 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama Breezeway, located at 1700 4th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233.
It is strongly recommended to take advantage of the pre-race packet pickup to reduce congestion on race day. This service is exclusively available for 5K and 1 Mile participants. (Snoozer participants will have their packets mailed to them.)
