Hartford Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K

The 2024 Hartford Marathon, half marathon, and 5k will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, aligning with the Jewish high holiday.
Get ready for an exciting start in front of the majestic Capitol and a memorable finish under the Arch at the Eversource Hartford Marathon. This New England tradition guarantees a high-quality experience, prioritizing safety for all involved—runners, volunteers, spectators, and the community.
Both the marathon and half marathon course promises a scenic journey through West Hartford’s neighborhoods, a picturesque detour through Elizabeth Park, and a venture along the East Hartford side of the river.
The full marathon continues through the rural charm of South Windsor, concluding with a triumphant finish just past the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park.
Meanwhile, half marathoners split from the marathon at the 8-mile mark, enjoying a riverside run before their downtown Hartford finish beneath the Arch, surrounded by brilliantly colored mums.
The day’s festivities commence at 8:00 am, with the marathon and half marathon starting at Capitol Avenue’s front lawn of the CT State Capitol Building, and the Charity 5k beginning at 8:01 am on Capitol Avenue east of Bushnell Theater.
Following the races, enjoy a post-race party at Bushnell Park, with refueling options and live music on the Powerstation Events Bushnell Park stage.
Participants 21 and over can enjoy a complimentary beer.
Hartford Marathon, half marathon, and 5k packet pickup
Participants, after securing their bibs and race shirts, have the opportunity to explore a variety of vendors and exhibitors.
- Thursday, October 17: 4:00 to 7:00 PM – Attendees can head to the XL Center in Hartford, CT, for the Eversource Hartford Marathon Packet Pickup & Expo.
- Friday, October 18: From 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM (registration & packet pickup continue until 9:00 PM), individuals can visit the XL Center in Hartford, CT, for the Eversource Hartford Marathon Packet Pickup & Expo.
Please note: If you’re designating someone else to pick up your race packet, the designee must present or show a copy of the signed waiver/permission slip. We accept photocopies or phone pictures of the form.

Marathon:
- Youths between 16 and 21: $101.00
- Regular: $106.00
Half Marathon:
- Youths between 12 and 21: $76.00
- Regular: $81.00
Charity 5K – Adult:
- Youths between 18 and 21: $26.00
- Regular: $31.00
